Data Management Group Makes Washington Technology's Fast 50 List 3rd Year in a Row

Hampton, VA - October 14, 2005 - For the third consecutive year, Data Management Group has been named one of the nation's fastest growing small businesses in the federal government information technology services market for 2005 by Washington Technology, a Washington Post publication.

Data Management Group, a strategic business intelligence consulting firm assisting commercial, government and non-profit organizations in the design and implementation of technology solutions, ranks this year at number 29 on the prestigious Washington Technology Fast 50 list with a compounded annual growth rate of 88.75%. Data Management Group, founded by Keith and Carolyn Boyer in 1995, has a strong history of client successes and solid partnerships with the many of the top Business Intelligence vendors in the industry. "Making this list for the third year in a row is quite an accomplishment. We have great employees and partners teamed with us who make these sorts of awards possible," says Keith Boyer, founder and COO.

The Fast 50 companies are ranked on how fast their government revenues grew from 2000 through 2004. This includes federal, state and local revenues. To be included, companies needed to have a minimum of $100,000 in government revenue. They also had to meet the federal government criteria for a small business or be a member of the 8(a) program. Each company provided Washington Technology with its government revenue numbers, along with a statement from an independent accountant verifying the accuracy of the numbers. The companies were then ranked according to their compound annual growth rate. In its 18th year, the Fast 50 list is considered one of the area's most prominent indicators of a company's success.

Hampton, VA - April 25, 2005 - Data Management Group, an authority in Business Intelligence solutions, providing quality training and consulting services to government agencies, non-profit organizations and public and private companies, is proud to announce the nomination of founder and vice president, Keith Boyer, for KPMG's High Tech Entrepreneur Award.

The High Tech Entrepreneur Award recognizes an individual who has successfully developed a technology-based, commercial enterprise. Management alone is not enough - the individual must have been instrumental in developing the technology as well as commercialization and demonstrated marketing success of related products and services. The entrepreneur's enterprise must be headquartered, or substantially based, in the Hampton Roads region.

Back in 1995, sitting down with the entire team at Data Management Group might have involved sipping coffee from a comfortable armchair in a quiet suburban neighborhood. "It was just a one-man show with $1,700 start-up money running out of my living room office," chuckles Keith Boyer

Back then, Boyer was laying the foundation for a company that now counts customers like the Department of Defense, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Library of Congress, with annual revenues of $5 million and growing, while it attracts employee talent from top consulting groups like KPMG, IBM, and Price Waterhouse Coopers. In casual conversation, the humble Boyer might forget to mention that Data Management Group is working with senior government officials on new federal business intelligence contracts.

With office locations in DC, Hampton, Virginia and Dallas, Texas, Data Management Group has developed and customized Business Intelligence portals and applications that provide real-time information for its customers to make better mission critical decisions. DMG has partnered with industry-leading Business Intelligence software manufacturers like Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Ascential Software and Microsoft to develop best-in-class Business Intelligence applications for their environments. DMG applications and process methodologies stand alone in the market place. The unique ability to combine multiple Business Intelligence applications into a single Business Intelligence portal is something no other vendor has tried to do.

The Hampton Roads Tech Council will announce it's decision on May 4th at the Hampton Roads High-Tech Awards Gala held at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hilton.

Data Management Group and Business Objects build on strong relationship

Back in 1995, sitting down with the entire team at Data Management Group might have involved sipping coffee from a comfortable armchair in a quiet suburban neighborhood.

"It was just a one-man show running out of my living room office," chuckles Keith Boyer, the company’s founder and its current vice president of reporting and analysis. He has good reason to fondly reminisce. Back then, Boyer was laying the foundation for a company that now counts customers like the Department of Defense, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Library of Congress, while it attracts employee talent from top consulting groups like KPMG, IBM, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In casual conversation, the humble Boyer might forget to mention that Data Management Group is working with senior government officials on new federal business intelligence contracts, and that the business just won a prestigious award as the fastest growing information technology company in the Washington D.C. area. But then again Boyer’s thoughts are elsewhere. He’s focused on how to help customers use data to make better business decisions, and so is his company.
