Some Performance Manager Analytic Folders or Documents are not Published to the CMS

The information in the article refers to
BusinessObjects XI R2

Applies to
Performance Management XI

Synopsis
When installing Performance Manager XI Release 2 on Windows, not all the analytics are published to the CMS. The Infoview folder Public Folders > Performance Manager > TimeSeries and others are missing.

Cause
The runPublishUtil.bat. file did not run correctly during installation because the Administrator password was not blank. The script assumes that the password is blank.

Solution
Do the following to resolve this:
  1. Log on to the Central Management Console.
  2. Click Authentication, click Enterprise, clear Enforce mixed-case passwords, clear Must contain at least N Characters, and click Update.
  3. Click Users, click Administrator, clear the Password and Confirm text boxes to set the account to use a blank password, and click Update.
  4. Run the C:\Program Files\BusinessObjects\Performance Management 11.5\Setup\runPublishUtil.bat file (default location) and all the analytics will be published.
  5. Click Authentication, click Enterprise, select Enforce mixed-case passwords, select Must contain at least N Characters, and click Update to activate the security options again.
  6. Click Users, click Administrator, type in the previous password in the Password and Confirm text boxes, and click Update to reset the account to the previous password.
