Crystal Reports XI

Synopsis
Crystal Reports XI makes HTTP requests to www.businessobjects.com for online resources at the startup page. Such requests can trigger web proxy prompts in some companies.

How can you configure the startup page to access your internal network (intranet) to avoid the web proxy prompts?

Solution
WARNING:
The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Microsoft Windows operating system. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry. May cause serious problems if registry editor is used incorrectly.

You configure the Crystal Reports XI startup page to access your intranet by doing the following:
  1. Go to 'Start', click 'Run', type "regedit".
